IJM is committed to the principles of open access, ensuring that all published content is freely accessible to the global academic and professional community.
- All articles are available without subscription or paywall.
- Readers may read, download, copy, distribute, and use articles under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) license.
- Authors retain copyright of their work.
- Peer Review Policy
IJM follows a double-blind peer review process to maintain the quality and integrity of published research:
- Reviewer identities and author identities are concealed throughout the process.
- Each submission is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.
- Review criteria include originality, clarity, methodology, contribution to knowledge, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
- Final decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief or Editorial Board, based on reviewer reports.
- Plagiarism Policy
IJM maintains strict policies against plagiarism:
- All manuscripts are screened through plagiarism detection software before peer review.
- Submissions with more than 10% unoriginal content (not properly cited) will be rejected outright.
- Authors are responsible for ensuring their work is original and properly referenced.
- Self-plagiarism or duplicate submissions are not permitted.
- Ethics and Malpractice Statement
IJM adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. Authors, reviewers, and editors must observe the highest standards of ethical conduct.
Author Ethics:
- Original research only; no fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data
- Proper acknowledgment of others’ work
- Disclosure of any conflicts of interest
- Accurate representation of findings and contributions
Reviewer Ethics:
- Maintain confidentiality of reviewed material
- Provide objective, unbiased, and constructive feedback
- Report any ethical concerns or conflicts of interest to the editorial office
Editor Ethics:
- Ensure a fair and unbiased review process
- Maintain confidentiality and transparency
- Avoid conflicts of interest in decision-making
- Investigate and act upon allegations of misconduct
- Archiving Policy
- All published articles are permanently archived on the journal’s server.
- Articles are also preserved through third-party digital archiving platforms to ensure long-term access and citation.
- IJM ensures continued access to content in the event of journal closure or platform migration.
- Correction and Retraction Policy
IJM recognizes its responsibility to correct the literature if errors are discovered after publication.
Types of Post-Publication Changes:
- Erratum: Correction of minor errors that do not affect the overall findings.
- Corrigendum: Corrections submitted by authors for errors they have discovered.
- Retraction: Issued for major errors, ethical misconduct, or falsified data.
- Withdrawal: Pre-publication removal due to ethical violations or author request.
Retractions and corrections will be clearly identified and linked to the original article.
- Copyright and Licensing Policy
- Authors retain full copyright of their published work.
- All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0).
- This license permits unrestricted use, sharing, adaptation, and reproduction with proper attribution to the original work.
- Publication Fee Policy (APC Policy)
IJM operates under a modest open-access Article Processing Charge (APC) to cover editorial, production, and hosting costs.
- Submission Fee: None
- Article Processing Charge (APC): $150 (USD) upon acceptance
- Waivers/Discounts: Available on request for authors from low-income countries or under financial constraints
The APC will be communicated upon acceptance and does not influence editorial decisions.
- Conflict of Interest Policy
All authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any relationships or financial interests that could influence the research or review process.
Examples of conflicts:
- Employment, consultancy, or advisory roles
- Ownership of shares or funding from related organizations
- Personal relationships that may affect objectivity
Conflicts will be disclosed in the publication where relevant.
- Data Sharing and Transparency Policy
IJM encourages authors to promote transparency and reproducibility by sharing research data.
- Authors should indicate whether data is available upon request, deposited in a repository, or not available due to confidentiality.
- For empirical research, data availability statements should be included in the manuscript.
- Authors are encouraged to comply with FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).
- Appeals and Complaints Policy
Authors have the right to appeal editorial decisions or raise concerns about the publication process.
- Appeals must be submitted in writing to editor@ij-management.co.uk with justification.
- Appeals will be reviewed by a senior editorial panel independent of the original decision.
- Complaints regarding unethical behavior or editorial misconduct will be investigated promptly and confidentially.
- Frequency and Publication Schedule
IJM is published quarterly (four times per year):
- March, June, September, and December
- Articles are published online immediately after acceptance and final editing under the “Online First” system.
- The print issue is compiled at the end of each quarter.
- Indexing and Abstracting Policy
IJM is working actively to expand its visibility and indexing coverage.
Current and target indexing services include:
- Google Scholar
- CrossRef (DOI assigned to every article)
- Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ)
- EBSCO, ProQuest (applied)
- ABDC Journal Quality List (Rated C)
- Withdrawal Policy
Authors may withdraw their manuscript before peer review without penalty.
Once a manuscript has entered peer review, withdrawal must be formally requested and justified.
- Unethical or repetitive withdrawal (especially after acceptance) may lead to blacklisting of the author(s)
- Withdrawals after acceptance or proofing are discouraged and must have valid ethical or legal reasons

- Submissions via email or third-party platforms will not be processed
